Yellow Horizon

from Bronze Two by Red Ankh

/

lyrics

Alice lived on a world
That was covered by machines
To her to see what was underneath
Was quite a treat

The sun was often hidden behind
Tall towering buildings
But its shine often did remind
Of past wonderful things

A year was a day to her
Centuries passed by like my months
Still she felt the yellow calm
That I have

Light from her tiny star
Could make her feel so warm
In such a cold world

Yellow horizon
Dawn of a new day
Many worlds have
Shared the yellow way

Worlds collide in my mind
I feel their emotions blend deep in side
What they feel is often what I feel
No experience can keep us apart

Alice was a manager, working for a corporate store
Climbed the ladder for the money so she could support her self
She attracted the broken and the insane
Madness all around, madness from within

Warmth of a star on a circling planet
Mood of a sunny day
Coming to terms with the horizon, the prospect
Experience lost to the Frame

Jale Kobbers was from
A much simpler world
Before its nature was known
Their sun understood

Field work was rewarded
With a relaxed, yellow feeling
The summer air was her fun
The sun set her tee vee screen

A walk through the woods was an adventure to her
Though enslaved, bound by soldiers
Still she kept her head up
To the horizon

Light from her dying star
Could make her feel so warm
In such a frightened world

Yellow horizon
Dawn of a new day
Many worlds have
Shared the yellow way

Jal Togsten came to town during war to protect
He had his soldiers build a wall
They drove the enemy out but became a new enemy
They bullied the people, the lord raped the women

Jale Kobbers was a farm girl, tended to the meat
When she killed Jal Togsten it triggered revolt
The guards quickly defeated, the town reclaimed
Jale Kobbers led them to prosper

Warmth of a star on a circling planet
Mood of a sunny day
Coming to terms with the horizon, the prospect
Experience lost to the Frame

Two different worlds, two different girls
One and the same, one and the same, The Stars Spark
A yellow life, a blue smog cloud
One and the same, by two different names

Fading Feeling, too bright to
See a fourteen right in front of me
Fourteen just off of thirteen
Just off of perfection

Horizons of balance promise us
A yellow peace

Yellow horizon
Dawn of a new day
Many worlds have
Shared the yellow way

Yellow horizon
Dawn of a new day
Many worlds have
Shared the yellow way

Peace, calm, mellow life, yellow
Warmth, light, pleasant life, yellow
Sun rise, sun to set, yellow
Smile, free, open fields, yellow

Yellow horizon
Dawn of a new day
Many worlds have
Shared the yellow way

Yellow horizon
Dawn of a new day
Many worlds have
Shared the yellow way

And if one has not felt the yellow
It has not really finished living yet
For the reds, blues, and grays need its compliments
Fill the spectrum, add yellow

If its world is devoid of sun light
I suggest it travels to find some
For the best taste of yellow is on the horizon
Of the fields of an quiet, open space
